Youngsters at a Wolverhampton primary school have enjoyed a trip to London, thanks to the generosity of Tatton Hall Homes.
Twenty-six year 6 pupils from SS Peter and Paul Catholic Primary Academy took in the Science Museum, Buckingham Palace, the Houses of Parliament and the London Eye when they headed to the capital, all of which was paid for by the Tettenhall-based housebuilder.
Jamie Morgan, deputy headteacher at the Whitmore Reans school, said it was the first trip to London for many of the children.
“We’re very grateful to have been supported by Tatton Hall Homes so that the children could enjoy this educational and fun day out in our Capital city,” he said.
“We include British values within our curriculum, so the day out was a great opportunity for them to learn about London and experience a different city. The children have been very excited ever since they found out they were going.”
Mrs Byrne, Principal, said, “This generous donation has given our pupils a fantastic opportunity to significantly widen their experiences and we are extremely grateful for the support . “
Carl Tatton, managing director of Tatton Hall Homes, who also provided hi-vis jackets for each of the children, said: “As a local housebuilder we are committed to giving back to the communities in which we build our new homes, so we were only too pleased to support SS Peter and Paul Catholic Academy. We hope the year 6 pupils had a fantastic time in London seeing the sights, and that the trip was helpful for them in their studies.”
